"I don't think that the West has got rid of its deep sense of superiority. I don't think even the British, in terms of the governing classes. But I think what is much more interesting, or much more seminal at the moment, is that what has appeared in Israel, that concoction of Zionism in the 19th century, has now grown into a monster, because you have a state which of course is a a state that is exclusive in terms of its race, a state that is absolutely nationalist state, a fanatical national state, a state which has completely made the other, the Palestinian into subhuman, and that has oppressed them in a way that is unimaginable. A state that is practicing apartheid, a state that is literally creating the two most horrible things imaginable, genocide an ethnic cleansing of a people before our very eyes, a state that is dealing with children in a way that is unspeakable, and a state that is calling out that it is the victim, which is which is strange. So it's a kind of pathology that has taken place. And it is so far from the nature of the traditional Jew that the traditional Jew is now saying 'this Zionism has nothing to do with Judaism, it has nothing to do with us'. And the monstrosity of it is that the only thing that you can compare it to is the very state that was responsible for the Holocaust."
