Iran Attacks Israel After Israel Attacks Beirut — Dimitri Lascaris

Reason2Resist - 7 jun 2026

Today, Israel launched a deadly strike on the Beirut suburb of Dahieh.

It did so despite warnings from Iran that Iran would strike northern Israel if Israel bombed Beirut again.

True to its word, the Iranian military just launched a series of missiles strikes on northern Israel. Iran has dubbed this military operation as "True Promise Five".

Dimitri Lascaris is in Beirut, Lebanon today, and reports on what is happening there.

Another Israeli War Crime In Iran: The Ghandi Hospital Atrocity

Reason2Resist - 25 mar 2026

On March 1, an Israel airstrike inflicted severe damage on the Ghandi Hospital in Tehran.

The attack destroyed the Hospital's in-vitro fertilization department along with its equipment, forcing staff to move cells and embryos.

The Hospital appears to have been damaged after Israel's genocidal military struck buildings housing Iranian state television’s Channel 2, only 30 metres from the entrance of the Hospital. World Health Organization Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said reports of damage to the hospital were "extremely worrying".

While in Tehran, Dimitri Lascaris visited what remains of the Hospital and spoke to its Vice-President about efforts to restore the facility to normal functioning.

China's 'Ten NOs' To The Trump Regime w/ John Helmer

Reason2Resist with Dimitri Lascaris – 2 nov 2025

This week, after Donald Trump met with Chinese President Xi Xinping in Busan, South Korea, Trump made his usual extravagant claims about what their meeting had achieved. Yet the Chinese government's account of the meeting raises serious questions about whether the U.S. and Chinese governments resolved any major disputes.

If anything, the available evidence suggests that the Trump regime backed away from its more hostile measures against the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Dimitri Lascaris speaks with Moscow-based correspondent John Helmer about the the limits of U.S. power over the PRC.

In addition, Dimitri and John discuss whether China and Russia will defend Venezuela's sovereignty in the face of U.S. aggression. They also examine new revelations about Jeffrey Epstein's relationship to the Israeli regime, and the harsh monetary policy of Russia's Central Bank.

The Genocide In Palestine Has Not Ended w/ Dr. Setareh Sadeqi Mohammadi

Reason2Resist - 13 oct 2025

Donald Trump insists that Israel's war on Gaza has ended, but can Trump and Netanyahu be trusted to stop their wanton murder and dispossession of Palestinians?

Dimitri Lascaris speaks with Dr. Setareh Sadeqi Mohammadi about the next chapter in the struggle for Palestinian liberation.

Dr. Mohammadi is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of World Studies, University of Tehran. She holds a Ph.D. in North American Studies, and her research focuses on U.S.–Iran relations, sanctions, media narratives, and political communication.

Dimitri and Dr. Mohammadi also discuss the possibility of another Israeli attack on Iran, the U.N.'s snapback sanctions, and the winner of this year's Nobel Peace Prize.

No quieren acudir a salvar Gaza.

Cyprus: The Israeli Flood Has Become A Deluge — Dimitri Lascaris

Reason2Resist - 30 ago 2025

This week, Dimitri Lascaris returned to Cyprus to investigate the huge influx of Israeli investors, immigrants and tourists into this island nation.

While travelling from Larnaca to Limassol, Lascaris visited major commercial and residential projects that have been funded by, and cater to, affluent Israelis.

Lascaris argues that the deluge of affluent Israelis into southern Cyprus is altering the very nature of the economy and society of Cyprus, and is undermining the sovereignty of the Cypriot state.

During his visit to Cyprus this week, Lascaris also returned to the British military base situated on the peninsula of Akrotiri. While there, he recorded the departure of British military aircraft to occupied Palestine, as well as the arrival of a British military cargo plane from Saudi Arabia.

This investigative report builds upon an investigative report that Lascaris produced when he visited Cyprus in October 2024. That widely watched report can be found here: • Israelis 'Flooding' Into Cyprus to 'Buy An... .

Iran Has A Right To Defend Itself From Israel's Relentless Aggression w/ Craig Mokhiber

Reasen2Resist - 17 jun 2025

Since Israel attacked Iran several days ago, the so-called “mainstream” discourse in the West has been chock full of proclamations that Israel has a “right to defend itself”.

But there have been few (if any) competent analyses of the legality of Israel’s actions.

To examine the legality of Israel's attacks on Iran and Iran's response to those attacks, Dimitri Lascaris speaks with former United Nations human rights lawyer, Craig Mokhiber.

Craig is a specialist in international human rights law, policy, and methodology. On October 28, 2023, three weeks after Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza began, Craig stepped down as the director of the New York office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, four days before he was due to retire.

In his final letter to High Commissioner Volker Türk, Craig harshly criticized the organization's response to Israel’s war on Gaza, calling Israel's military intervention a "textbook genocide" and accusing the UN of failing to act.

During the interview, Craig referred to a recent article he wrote for Foreign Policy in Focus. That article can be found here:

Israel's 'Final Solution' Has Begun: Will Persons Of Conscience Stop It? — Dimitri Lascaris / Laith Marouf

Reason2Resist - 20 may 2025

Israel's genocidal regime has launched a savage, broad-based assault on Gaza and continues to deprive Gaza's starving civilian population of desperately-needed humanitarian aid.

Meanwhile, Israel's criminal leaders have openly declared their intention to destroy Gaza and 'cleanse' it of Palestinians.

By all appearances, Israel has begun to implement its 'final solution' in the Gaza Strip.

In response to Israel's assault on Gaza, major Western governments have issued unprecedented threats to sanction Israel. In addition, people around the world are escalating their resistance to Israel's genocidal project.

Dimitri Lascaris and Beirut-based, geopolitical analyst Laith Marouf debate where all this is heading. Who will prevail in Gaza? Will it be the resistance, or will it be Israel's genocidal regime?

Lascaris and Marouf also discussed Trump's recent trip to West Asia and the nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran.

Who are the most brainwashed people in the world today?

Reason2Resist – 12 feb 2025

After Donald Trump announced his brazen, criminal plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza, prominent Western commentators reacted in ways that revealed their own unconscious racism toward the peoples of the Global South.

Their reactions raise an important question: who, in reality, are the most propagandized people in the world today?

To break all of this down, Dimitri Lascaris spoke with Karim Bettache. Karim is an Assistant Professor for the Faculty of Social Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Alon Mizrahi: 'Israel Must Be Dismantled'

Reason2Resist - 22 ene 2025

Alon Mizrahi is an Arab Jewish writer and activist who left Israel over the genocide it has perpetrated in Gaza. He now resides in the United States.

On January 21, 2025, Dimitri Lascaris spoke with Alon about his experiences as an Arab Jew in Israel, his abandonment of Zionism, and the future of the 'Jewish state'.

According to Alon, Israel's political elite and society have become so infused with hatred of Arabs, and have enjoyed impunity for so long, that the region cannot achieve a lasting and just peace unless Israel is dismantled.

Why The European Union Will Fail

Reason2Resist - 3 ene 2025

The EU has fallen into an accelerating decline. Its financialized economy suffers from stagflation, its political elite has become increasingly authoritarian, and its proxy war in Ukraine has become a debacle of epic proportions.

Despite all this, can the European Union be saved?

In a conversation with Dimitri Lascaris, Professor Lapavitsas argues that the EU is irredeemable. To recover and sustain their prosperity, European states must reclaim their national sovereignty, democratize their economies and, under the direction of the state, make the massive investments that are necessary to improve their productivity.

From Russia To Palestine, A New World Order Emerges w/ Richard Sakwa

30 oct 2024 - Richard Sakwa is a Professor Emeritus of Politics at the University of Kent at Canterbury and an Honorary Professor in the Faculty of Political Science at Moscow State University.

This week, Professor Sakwa spoke with Dimitri Lascaris about the emergence of a new world order.

According to Professor Sakwa, the wars in Ukraine and West Asia are linked: both are being driven by the West's project of global hegemony.

In both wars, however, the political West is losing badly. As a result, a new world order is emerging in which Western power will be constrained by the power of other states.

Germany was never denazified

24 sept 2024

Dimitri Lascaris speaks with Ali Abunimah, co-founder of The Electronic Intifada, about the extraordinary wave of repression sweeping over the West, and Germany in particular.

In July of this year, German legal authorities issued an order to Abunimah banning him from giving a speech via Zoom to the Palestine Conference in Exile, organized by supporters of Palestinian rights in Germany in late July.

The order threatened Abunimah with fines and up to one year in prison for participating in the conference.

Abunimah defied the order of the German "regime", stating that Germany "never purged itself of deep and pervasive racism."

Lascaris and Abunimah also discussed increasingly aggressive censorship by social media companies, as well as the growing political instability in West Asia.

Lebanese resistance strikes back

24 sept 2024

Last week, Israel killed hundreds and wounded thousands of persons by remotely detonating rigged pagers and walkie talkers in Lebanon. Former CIA Director Leon Panetta condemned the attacks as a "form of terrorism".

In retaliation, Lebanon's Islamic Resistance launched waves of missile attacks on Israel's Ramat David airbase and production facilities of Israel's Rafael Advanced Defence Systems. The Rafael facilities are situated near Haifa, Israel's third-largest city.

These strikes constituted the deepest missile strikes into Israel since the 2006 war between Israel and Lebanon's Islamic Resistance.

On September 23, 2024 (the day after the missile strikes in Israel), Dimitri Lascaris spoke with Beirut-based, geopolitical analyst Laith Marouf about the rapidly escalating war between Israel and the Resistance.

The war to end Western hegemony has begun

Dimitri Lascaris - 4 ago 2024

As a potentially decisive war in West Asia looms, Dimitri Lascaris spoke with Lebanon-based, geopolitical analyst Laith Marouf about the causes and consequences of the recent assassinations of resistance leaders in the region.

Marouf argues that this will be a decisive war over control of West Asia's land and resources, that the war is spreading to the streets of Western cities, and that even the Olympic Games have become a theatre of conflict between the Western and non-Western worlds.

Ghadi has been to conflict zones throughout West Asia, including Gaza, Syria and Yemen.
