What they're not telling you about Iran, with Setareh Sadeqi

The Electronic Intifada 20 mar 2026

It has been almost three weeks since the United States and Israel launched their war against Iran.

Having failed to achieve a quick success – and as conflict spreads across the region and impacts the global economy – Washington and Tel Aviv are escalating their attacks on Iran’s population, as well as its civilian, cultural and economic infrastructure.

Iran’s health ministry said this week that 18,000 people have been injured. More than 200 children are among 1,300 people killed in the attacks.

We are joined in Isfahan, Iran, by Dr. Setareh Sadeqi, an assistant professor at the Faculty of World Studies at the University of Tehran and a specialist in North American studies and Iran–US relations.
